ABOUT ISLA RICO
"The best of new indie Britpop" - Chris Hawkins, BBC Radio 6 Music

Formed in a homemade tiki bar in Manchester, Isla Rico have rapidly emerged as a fresh force in the indie music scene. The band's unique blend of storytelling lyricism, vibey instrumentals and big melody hooks has earned them a loyal fan base and seen them sell out shows across the UK.
The new single ‘Wavelength’ perfectly captures the radiant sense of joy and energy which characterises their live shows, delivering bright guitar tones with tight danceable drums surrounded by a warming mix of synth and piano. Led by strikingly charismatic, upbeat and catchy lead vocals, the track plays on its pop-tendencies to great effect to give a summery, effortlessly enjoyable tone.
Having amassed over 100,000 streams on their previous EP, Eternal Optimist, the trio have shared stages with the likes of The Grogans and Holler and played at UK festivals including The Great Escape and Y Not Festival as well as headlining venues across the UK. The trio continue to cement their one to watch, garnering placements across Spotify playlists and media attention from a number of tastemakers.
